Biography

Hello, I’m St. Paul Family Lawyer James D. Capra. I’ve been practicing divorce and family law in the Twin Cities for over 20 years. While a lot has changed in the past 20 years, the basic principle I built this firm on are still as true today as they ever were. I believe in giving people quality, affordable, honest service and helping them get their life back on track.

Our process begins with a free, no-obligation consultation so that I can understand your situation. From there, I will give you what I think is the best course of action based on what’s important to you. You will be given a clear and accurate idea of how much the process will cost. If you decide, after I’ve answered all of your questions, that we are a good fit, we’ll move forward.

My practice primarily focuses on divorce, family law, and child custody. I have helped families all over the state of Minnesota from my law office in St. Paul. I hope that this website can help answer some of your initial questions, but do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions specific to your situation.

If you have questions about filing for divorce in Minnesota, I can help. You very likely are getting a flood of advice and information from your friends and family about your situation. While other people's information and advice may be helpful to your situation, the only way to get legal advice tailored to your situation is to speak with an experienced divorce lawyer to talk about how Minnesota divorce law applies to your specific situation. Free consultations available, either in my office or over the phone. Call today.
